BACKGROUND:
On February 21, 2023, the Mayor and City Council approved Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $1,230,970.00 to the Professional Services Agreement with Baxter & Woodman Inc. for construction engineering services for the 2023 Water Main Replacement Program. The 2023 water main replacement program consists of 10 projects, totaling approximately 20 miles of water main replacement. Seven of the construction contracts have been completed, and three projects experienced delays thus requiring additional construction engineering services. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Baxter & Woodman, Inc. has submitted a proposal in the amount of $272,987.00 to perform the additional construction engineering services required for the three ongoing projects.
Funds will be charged to the Water Main Replacement Fund / Professional Services (Org 53880000, Object 557200, $272,987.00).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement for additional construction engineering services for the 2023 Water Main Rehabilitation Program, in the amount of $272,987.00, on behalf of Baxter & Woodman, Inc.
