Approval to Hold a Carnival June 20, 21, and 22, 2025 at Joliet Memorial Stadium - Taste of Joliet

BACKGROUND:
The Joliet Park District and Windy City Amusements are requesting approval of a carnival at the Joliet Memorial Stadium, 3000 West Jefferson Street, in conjunction with the Joliet Park District's Taste of Joliet annual event. The applicant began operating the carnival at this location in 2010.
A variety of attractions will be provided. Arrangements have been made with the Joliet Police and Fire Departments to provide security. The carnival will take place on Friday, June 20 through Sunday, June 22, 2025, during the following hours:
CONCLUSION:
It is recommended that the carnival be approved, subject to passing the required inspections before opening the event to the public and adhering to the requirements of Chapter 5, Article II of the Joliet Municipal Code
