Resolution Approving the Acquisition of Right-of-Way for the Theodore Street Improvement Project 1B - Parcel 0001

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet is completing roadway widening improvements along Theodore Street between Drauden Road and IL Route 59. The improvements are being completed in phases, with Project 1A currently under construction between Wesmere Parkway and River Road.
Project 1B is located between Drauden Road and Wesmere Parkway and is currently scheduled for a November 2024 IDOT Letting. It is necessary to acquire right-of-way from one property in order to complete Project 1B.
The City of Joliet has retained V3 Companies, LTD for the Phase II Engineering for this project. V3 Companies, LTD has retained Santacruz Associates LTD to negotiate with the property owners and to complete the acquisition documents.
A settlement has been reached between the City of Joliet and the property owner of Parcel 0001. Information on this parcel is as follows:

OWNER: Old National Bank as successor to First Midwest Bank as Trustee of the Marital Trust created under William H. Eisenbrandt, Jr. Declaration of Trust dated December 9, 1978 for the life of Marianne Eisenbrandt, then to Herbert R. Rosenberg and Gregory Severson, Co-Trustees of the William H. Eisenbrandt, Jr., Declaration of Trust dated December 9, 1978
PURCHASE PRICE: $15,200.00
Parcel 0001 includes the acquisition of a right-of-way. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
The Administration recommends the Mayor and City Council adopt the attached Resolution approving the acquisition of the right-of-way for the indicated purchase price.
