BACKGROUND:
On September 6, 2022, the Mayor and City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with Baxter & Woodman Inc., in the amount of $742,300.00, for preliminary design of the 2024 Water Main Rehabilitation Program. Subsequently, Amendment No. 1 was approved for detailed design and bidding services in the amount of $1,462,100.00, and Amendment No. 2 was approved for construction support assistance in the amount of $172,400.00. Construction of the 2024 water main projects is in process, with the first of the projects reaching completion.
Updates to the City’s GIS with the new water main system information and movement of the old water main information to the abandoned water main layer are critical for system maintenance and operations. This work can best be performed by the design engineer. Therefore, Baxter & Woodman was requested to provide a proposal to complete these GIS updates for the 2024 Water Main Rehabilitation Program.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Baxter & Woodman Inc. has submitted an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement for completion of GIS updates for the 2024 Water Main Rehabilitation Program in the amount of $51,000.00.
Funds will be charged to the Water Main Replacement Fund / Professional Services (Org 53880000, Object 557200, $51,000.00).
