Award of Contract for Water and Sanitary Sewer Service Installation at 575 E. Jackson Street to Sunset Sewer & Water in the amount of $39,870.00

BACKGROUND:
The City owns property at 575 E. Jackson Street which is being leased to History on Wheels. The property currently does not have water or sanitary sewer service lines. Staff prepared a set of design drawings and specifications for installation of a 6-inch PVC sanitary sewer service from the building to an existing sanitary sewer service stub, and installation of a 4-inch ductile iron water service from the building to the existing water main. Bids were solicited from five (5) contractors.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Bids were due on Friday, June 28, 2023, at 4:00 pm, and two (2) bids were received. The bid summary is as follows:
