BACKGROUND:
On August 16, 2022, the Mayor and City Council awarded a Contract for the Helen Avenue (Charity Avenue - Mills Road) Roadway Improvement Project - 2022, in the amount of $261,523.96 to PT Ferro Construction Co. The Public Service Committee reviewed this memo at the January 2, 2024 meeting and recommended for approval by full Council.
CONCLUSION:
This project has been completed, inspected, and accepted by the Department of Public Works. Change Order No. 1, a net decrease in the amount of ($21,417.65), is the result of quantity deletion of Disconnection of Existing Water Service Line that was not needed, deletion of a partial quantity of Portland Cement Concrete Driveway Apron, 6" that was not needed, and balancing of final quantities.
Funds will be reimbursed to the Motor Fuel Tax Fund / Roadway Reconstruction Helen (Org 20090270, Object 557200, Project No. 22008 ($20,417.65)) and the Property Owner Improvement Fund (Org 10090000, Object 524300, Project 22009, ($1,000.00)).
Also included is Payment Estimate No. 3 and Final, in the amount of $13,059.82, on behalf of PT Ferro Construction Co.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council take the following actions:
1. Approve Change Order No. 1, a net reduction in the amount of ($21,417.65), for the Helen Avenue (Charity Avenue - Mills Road) Roadway Improvement Project - 2022.
2. Approve Payment Estimate No. 3 and Final, in the amount of $13,059.82, on behalf of PT Ferro Construction Co.
