Payment in Full for the City of Joliet’s Share of the Timberline Drive Resurfacing to Troy Township Road District in the amount of $45,179.12

BACKGROUND:
Troy Township Road District proposed and completed the resurfacing of Timberline Drive from Black Road to the S. End. Portions of this roadway area are located within City of Joliet limits and is under the City of Joliet jurisdiction within the City of Joliet. It was determined that approximately 40% of the roadway was in the City of Joliet with the remaining 60% under the jurisdiction of Troy Township. It was agreed that the project cost should be split 60 / 40 based upon the amount of frontage under each jurisdiction.
The total project cost is $113,861.28 with the City of Joliet’s share being $45,179.12. The Public Service Committee reviewed this memo at the January 16, 2024 meeting and recommended for approval by full Council.
CONCLUSION:
The full payment in the amount of $45,179.12 will be processed for the project. Funds will be charged to Capital Improvements / Resurfacing (Org 30090270, Object 557200, $45,179.12).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the Full Payment for the resurfacing of the City of Joliet portion of Timberline Drive, in the amount of $45,179.12, to Troy Township Road District.
