Amendment No. 1 for the Professional Services Agreement for the Design of Joliet City Square (West of Chicago Street from Van Buren Street to Clinton Street) to Civiltech Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $257,345.00

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet has hired Civiltech Engineering Inc. for development of a design of Joliet City Square adjacent to Chicago Street from Van Buren Street to Clinton Street. This amendment adds design components for modifications to the adjacent parking deck and specialized design of features chosen for inclusion following public input. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
The services will be increased for specialized design features include; modifying the parking deck to create equipment storage, IT and electrical hubs for the square, structural mounting design and video screen analysis, stage lighting and equipment design including power distribution and loading, plumbing stubs and water feature electrical and pumping design.
The services contract will be increased utilizing the time and material rates as submitted at a total cost not to exceed $257,345.00.
Sufficient funds are available utilizing Capital Funds (Org 30090270, Object 557200, $257,345.00).

Based on the above, the Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement for the Design of Joliet City Square, in an amount not to exceed $257,345.00, to Civiltech Engineering Inc.
