Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Great Pyrenees Technology, LLC for Database Administration and GIS Support in the Amount of $17,250.00

BACKGROUND:
For more than a decade, the City’s Information Technology department has partnered with Great Pyrenees Technology for database and GIS support.
CONCLUSION:
Institutional knowledge of existing infrastructure and database structure makes Great Pyrenees a practical solution to augment staff in supporting critical systems. In 2024, Great Pyrenees has completed work to support the conversion of data from the existing document management system to the newly implemented Laserfiche document management system, in addition to crucial database and GIS support.
This item was recommended for City Council approval by the Communication, Technology and Information Systems Committee at the May 8, 2024 meeting.
In accordance with section 2-438 of the City of Joliet Code of Ordinances which states that purchases over $25,000.00 may be awarded without written specifications or bidding under certain circumstances. Three of these circumstances apply:
1. (a)Purchases which may only be practicably made from a single source;
2. (f)Purchases when authorized by a concurring vote of two-thirds (⅔) of the mayor and city council;
3. (g)Purchases of professional services.
Sufficient funds exist utilizing the IT Professional Services Budget (ORG: 04001000, OBJ: 523300, $17,250.00)

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Great Pyrenees Technology, LLC.
