BACKGROUND:
Duly Health & Care Field is owned by The City of Joliet and is leased to the Joliet Slammers. One obligation of the City of Joliet (per lease) is to provide security cameras throughout the stadium. Currently there are no working security cameras inside or outside of the stadium. This item was reviewed at the Communication, Technology & Information Systems Committee Meeting held on May 7, 2024 and was recommended to the full Council for approval.

CONCLUSION:
The City of Joliet is seeking approval of purchase for security cameras for Duly Health & Care Field to fulfill the obligation of the lease. Staff contacted numerous vendors to obtain quotes for the scope of work, four returned proposals. The low quote doesn't include the cost of additional conduit and does not include prevailing wage, the others do. A total of 32 cameras and a 30-day recording system are included in the AMS proposal. This is a standalone system and will not be on the Genetec platform. Staff is recommending the purchase be approved and awarded to AMS Industries Inc. in the amount of $83,270.00. Original projected estimates were $150,000. The 2024 Capital Budget provides funding specifically designated for this project (Org 30020010, Obj 557300, $83.270.00).
