Change Order No. 3 for the Joliet Ottawa Water Main Improvements Project on behalf of Trine Construction Corp in the amount of $191,787.91

BACKGROUND:
On January 17, 2023, the Mayor and City Council awarded a Contract for the Joliet Ottawa Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $6,095,346.00, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp based on the Unit Prices provided in their bid. Subsequently, Change Orders Nos. 1 & 2 were approved for a net increase of $117,267.41. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Change Order No. 3, a net addition in the amount of $191,787.91 is for the following work:
• Additional rock excavation
• Additional water main (open) cut, 24-inch
• Additional gate valve, 6-inch
• Additional valve box
• Additional temporary hot mix asphalt pavement
• Additional exploratory excavation
Sufficient funds are available for this project in the Water & Sewer Improvement Fund / Water Distribution (Org 53880000, Object 557200, $191,787.91).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve Change Order No. 3 to the contract for the Joliet Ottawa Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $191,787.91, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp.
