Change Order No. 5 for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project on behalf of Trine Construction Corp in the amount of $31,050.39

BACKGROUND:
On January 17, 2023, the Mayor and City Council awarded a Contract for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $4,792,653.07, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp, based on the Unit Prices provided in their bid. Subsequently, Change Orders Nos. 1 - 4 were approved for a net increase of $184,912.31. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Change Order No. 5, a net addition in the amount of $31,050.39 is for the following work:
• Additional 6-inch water main open cut installation
• Additional 8-inch water main open cut installation
• Additional 12-inch water main open cut installation
• Additional 6-inch connection to the existing water main (non-pressure)
• Additional valve box installation
• Additional fire hydrant installation
Sufficient funds are available for this project in the Water & Sewer Improvement Fund / Water Distribution (Org 53880000, Object 557200, $31,050.39).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve Change Order No. 5 to the contract for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $31,050.39, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp.
