Resolution Approving the Dedication of a 40’ x 520.10’ Portion of West Haven Avenue as Public Right-of-Way

BACKGROUND:
The site at 2503 W. Haven Avenue, which is within the Village of New Lenox on the north side of West Haven Avenue, is currently being developed, and a portion of the parcel needs to be dedicated as public right-of-way. West Haven Avenue (also known as New Lenox Road) adjacent to this site is under City of Joliet jurisdiction, as all property on the south side of the street from Cherry Hill Road to the east property line of 2700 Haven Avenue is within the City of Joliet. Therefore, although the property being developed is not within City limits, the 40-foot right-of-way portion will be dedicated to the City of Joliet. The Public Works Department has reviewed and supports this dedication.
