BACKGROUND:
The Mayor and City Council previously approved the 2024 Roadway Reconstruction Program. The Richmond Street (Fairlane Drive - Sunset Strip) Roadway Improvement Project - 2024 is part of this Program. This project was advertised on Thursday, May 23, 2024. The Public Service Committee will review this matter at the June 17, 2024 Public Service Meeting.
CONCLUSION:
On Friday, June 7, 2024, at 9:00 A.M., four (4) sealed bids were received for the Richmond Street (Fairlane Drive - Sunset Strip) Roadway Improvement Project - 2024. The bid summary is as follows:
The low bid by PT Ferro Construction Co., in the amount of $540,786.10, is 19.09% below the engineer’s estimate.
Sufficient funds exist utilizing The Motor Fuel Tax Fund / Roadway Reconstruction Richmond Street (Org 20090270, Object 557200, Project 24025, $539,786.10) and Property Owner Improvement Fund (Org 10090000, Object 524300, Project 24025, $1,000.00).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council award the Richmond Street (Fairlane Drive - Sunset Strip) Roadway Improvements Project - 2024, in the amount of $540,786.10, to PT Ferro Construction Co.
