Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funding for the Richmond Street (Fairlane Drive - Sunset Strip) Roadway Improvement Project - 2024 MFT Section No. 24-00565-00-FP

BACKGROUND:
The Richmond Street (Fairlane Drive - Sunset Strip) Roadway Improvements Project is part of the 2024 Roadway Reconstruction Program. The Public Service Committee will review this matter at the June 17, 2024 Public Service Meeting.
CONCLUSION:
A portion of the funding for this project will come from Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Funds. Since Motor Fuel Tax Funds will be used for this project, the State of Illinois requires the Mayor and City Council approve an MFT Resolution. Please find attached a Motor Fuel Tax Resolution appropriating $539,786.10 for the Richmond Street (Fairlane Drive - Sunset Strip) Roadway Improvements Project - 2024.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the MFT Resolution appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds.
