SUBJECT:

title

Award of Contract for the Authorization for Comprehensive Benefit Consulting/Broker Services to Gallagher Benefit Services in the amount of $76,000

end

BACKGROUND:

Gallagher Bassett will continue to be the City’s third party administrator for the 2024/2025 year, Gallagher has been a strong advocate in the past.  They help save the city money in Rx rebate programs as well as adding programs for employees to use.

Based on the comprehensiveness of services to be provided, their working relationship with the City's current vendors, references and proposed cost to the City, it was determined that Gallagher Benefit Services, the City's current broker, best met the City's requirements and needs. Steve Algozino, Tim Mooney and Wendy Stratton from Gallagher Benefit Services have provided exceptional service to the City and have built trust and confidence with the City's union groups and employees. Sufficient funding is budgeted and is available for the 2025 Human Resources budget (Org Code 01014000, Object Code 523400).   No increase in the cost of consulting/broker services is being requested for the 2024/2025 service timeframe. This item was on the Finance Committee agenda for this evening.
