Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Accept Grant Funds Under Title XX of the Social Security Act

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet partners with Pace to provide Paratransit Services for seniors (over age 60) and disabled residents within the City of Joliet and five other Townships - Homer, Jackson, Joliet, Lockport, and Troy. Funding for this program is through a State of Illinois Department of Human Services Title XX grant totaling $79,093. The remaining cost is funding by the City and five other Townships based on ridership. Historically, the City’s share is $25,000. Funds are available in the 2024 Budget (Org. 02001000, Object: 548400) for our share.
