BACKGROUND:
Union Station is located at 50 E Jefferson St. Union Station is used for numerous special events including weddings, showers, and luncheons in the ballroom space. There are four roof top units that are used for numerous areas including the grand ballroom. These units are over 25 years old and are beyond their life expectancy.
CONCLUSION:
The City of Joliet is seeking approval of purchase and installation for four 7.5-ton roof top units at Union Station. Staff contacted three vendors to obtain quotes for the scope of work, three returned proposals. Staff is recommending the purchase be approved and awarded to Anchor Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of $77,996.00.?Original projected estimates were $80,000.00?The 2025 Union Station repairs and maintenance budget provides funding for this replacement unit (Org 09015907, Obj 524300, $77,996.00).
