Resolution Declaring Certain City of Joliet Property as Surplus

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet’s Code of Ordinances, Section 2-435, provides in part that, “When the City Council has determined that any personal property with a remaining value is no longer necessary or useful to the City, the property shall be declared ‘surplus property’ by resolution.”
CONCLUSION:
There are currently four (4) T3 Motion Segways and 24 batteries that are not being utilized and are sitting in storage due to inoperability, which should be declared surplus property by the City Council:

Based on the above it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the attached Resolution declaring property therein as surplus property.
