BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet has been awarded $1,000,000.00 in FY2026 Community Project Funding through SAMHSA. The funding will support the continuation and operation of the existing no-cost mental health program administered by the Joliet Fire Department.
The program is intended to expand access to mental health services for Joliet residents by providing services at no cost to eligible individuals. The program will support the City's ongoing efforts to address mental health needs within the community and provide accessible resources to residents who may otherwise face barriers to obtaining services.
