SUBJECT:

title

Award of Contract to TimeClock Plus, LLC in the Amount of $26,565 for Aladtec Enterprise Licensing and Implementation Services

BACKGROUND:

The Joliet Police Department is requesting approval to purchase TCP Scheduling Software Aladtec to replace the Department’s current scheduling system. The Department currently uses Visual Staff Scheduler Pro (VSS Pro) to create and manage employee schedules. While VSS Pro continues to provide basic scheduling functions such as shift assignments, staffing-level monitoring, time-off tracking, and schedule reporting, vendor support for the software ended on January 31, 2017. As a result, the Department is relying on a scheduling platform that is no longer actively supported or developed, creating concerns related to long-term reliability, compatibility, and the availability of technical assistance when issues arise.

As the Department’s staffing and scheduling needs have become more complex, a modern scheduling platform is needed to provide greater efficiency and flexibility for both supervisors and employees. Aladtec is designed for public safety agencies operating around the clock and supports functions such as rotational scheduling, minimum staffing requirements, overtime and open-shift management, time-off requests, shift trades, court and training assignments, and real-time notifications. It also provides access from computers and mobile devices, allowing supervisors and employees to manage schedules, requests, and staffing needs more efficiently. These capabilities will provide the Police Department with a modern, centralized scheduling system that better supports current staffing requirements and day-to-day operations.

CONCLUSION:

The Joliet Police Department recommends the purchase of Aladtec scheduling software from TimeClock Plus, LLC (TCP). Aladtec will provide the Department with a modern, centralized scheduling platform capable of managing employee schedules, staffing levels, overtime, time-off requests, shift trades, and other scheduling needs through both computer and mobile access.
