Award of Contract to Lenovo for TruScale Managed Storage Not to Exceed $370,684.21
end
BACKGROUND:
Lenovo TruScale Managed Storage is a comprehensive storage solution designed to provide flexible and scalable storage capabilities, that allows consumption of storage capacity on-demand, paying only for what is use on a monthly basis. TruScale Managed Storage represents a modern approach to storage infrastructure management, offering flexibility, scalability, and cost-efficiency through a managed service model.
The city has recently installed numerous cameras around City Hall and the waterfront. Additionally, plans include implementing a new Master Traffic Control system equipped with a substantial number of cameras, and the City Square project will also integrate a significant camera network. Currently, our storage capacity is insufficient to handle all the data generated by the influx of cameras and for storage of on-premises infrastructure backups. We require a new storage solution to meet these demands effectively.
CONCLUSION:
To proactively address growing storage requirements, we have devised a plan for the following annual growth rates: 20% in years two and three, followed by 10% growth in years four and five.
