Resolution to approve Subrecipient Agreements for Program Year 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.

end

BACKGROUND:

Eight (8) non-profit organizations have been awarded CDBG funding for Program Year 2024. Each of these awards requires a Subrecipient Agreement between the Organization and the City of Joliet. These Agreements outline the Resolution number under which the City Council has already approved the activity, the funding amounts, the federal HUD requirements and regulations the activity must follow, and an authorized Scope of Work.

These activities have each been approved at the July 2, 2024 City Council meeting under the following Resolution numbers; #8029 - Joliet Latino Economic Development, #8030 - Spanish Community Center, #8031 - Stepping Stones, #8032 - United Cerebral Palsy, #8033 - Will County Center for Community Concerns (Facility Improvement), #8034 - Will County Center for Community Concerns (Housing Counseling), #8035 - CASA of River Valley, #8036 - Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet.

Each of these Agreements have been reviewed and approved by a HUD Consultant and the City’s Legal Department.

CONCLUSION:

With these Subrecipient Agreements, each of the organizations awarded CDBG funds will be able to provide necessary services to Joliet residents, following all City and Federal regulations as outlined for Program Year 2024.
