Resolution Accepting A Grant of Permanent Easement at 18711 S. County Line Road for the County Line Road (Van Dyke Road - Kennedy Drive) Roadway Improvements Project

BACKGROUND:

The County Line Road (Van Dyke Road - Kennedy Drive) Roadway Improvements project is nearing completion.  This roadway improvement project primarily consisted of roadway widening and installing new street lighting and sidewalk.  In order to install the sidewalk and lighting improvements along the full length of the project area, it is necessary to obtain a permanent easement along the front of the residential property located at 18711 S. County Line Road.

 

The Public Service Committee will review this matter.

 

CONCLUSION:

The property owner has agreed to sign the necessary documents to grant a permanent easement.  The attached easement agreement with Owner, Alex Kaluza, will provide the necessary rights to construct and access the improvements installed as part of this project.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the attached Resolution accepting the permanent easement from Alex Kaluza, owner of the property located at 18711 S. County Line Road, Joliet, IL 60431.
