Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for Right of Way Related Expenses for the Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge Improvement Project - MFT Section No. 21-00542-00-BR

end

BACKGROUND:

The Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge Improvement Project will consist of the complete removal & replacement of the existing bridge structure.  The project necessitates establishing permanent easements on property owned by the Forest Preserve District of Will County.  The Forest Preserve and the City have reached agreement on compensation values for the grant of permanent easement rights and associated vegetation impact fees.

The Public Service Committee will review this matter.

CONCLUSION:

The funding for these right-of-way-related expenses will come from Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Funds.  When Motor Fuel Tax Funds are used, the State of Illinois requires that the Mayor and City Council approve an MFT Resolution.  Please find attached a Motor Fuel Tax Resolution appropriating funding in the amount of $184,107.98 for right of way related expenses for the Farrell Road over Spring Creek Improvement Project.

RECOMMENDATION:
