Approval of Change Order No. 1 for the Rosalind Street Culvert Replacement Project to Austin Tyler Construction Inc. in the Amount of $12,614.00 and Payment Request No. 2 in the Amount of $176,377.84

BACKGROUND:
On February 18, 2025, the Mayor and City Council awarded a contract for the Rosalind Street Culvert Replacement Project to Austin Tyler Construction Inc. in the amount of $368,268.01. The project is being funded through a reimbursable ARPA grant administered by Will County.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Change Order No. 1, a net addition in the amount of $12,614.00 is a result of the following:
1. Additional gate valves, valve vault, and valve box were required to comply with City of Joliet Public Utilities design standards for watermain relocation.
Funds will be charged to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund - Rosalind Street Culvert Improvements (Org 22090270, Object 557200, Project 24008, $12,614.00).
Also, included is Payment Request No. 2, in the amount of $176,377.84, on behalf of Austin Tyler Construction Inc.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council take the following actions:
1. Approve Change Order No. 1, a net addition in the amount of $12,614.00.
2. Approve Payment Request No. 2, in the amount of $176,377.84, on behalf of Austin Tyler Construction Inc.
