Resolution Authorizing the Acquisition of Property for the Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge Improvements Project - Partial PIN 30-07-01-200-047 in the Amount of $3,600.00

BACKGROUND:

The Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge Improvement Project will consist of complete removal & replacement of the existing deteriorated structure.  The project is scheduled for a late 2026 letting through the Illinois Department of Transportation, with construction scheduled to occur during the Summer of 2027.

 

In order to complete the improvements, a total of three (3) parcels were identified for property acquisition.  An agreement for property acquisition has been reached for a portion of parcel PIN 30-07-01-200-047 in the amount of $3,600.00.  This acquisition consists of a 0.083-acre portion of the existing property.

CONCLUSION:

It is necessary for the Mayor and City Council to adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the acquisition of property for the indicated purchase price.

 

Sufficient funds exist utilizing funds from Public Work Engineering & Construction / Prof. Services (Org 09027000, Object 523300, $3,600.00).
