BACKGROUND:
The Mayor and City Council previously approved the 2024 Roadway Reconstruction Program. The Bridge Street (Nicholson Street - Center Street) Roadway Improvement Project - 2024 is part of this Program. This project was advertised on Thursday, March 21, 2024. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
On Friday, April 5, 2024, at 9:00 A.M., four (4) sealed bids were received for the Bridge Street (Nicholson Street - Center Street) Roadway Improvement Project - 2024. The bid summary is as follows:
The low bid by PT Ferro Construction Co., in the amount of $358,405.93, is 5.46% below the engineer’s estimate.
Sufficient funds exist utilizing the Motor Fuel Tax Fund / Infrastructure (Org 20090270, Object 557200, Project 23025, $344,205.93), Property Owner Improvement Fund (Org 10090000, Object 524300, Project 23025, $1,000.00), and Special Service Area Fund (Org 23020240, Object 557200, Project 23025, $13,200.00).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council award the Bridge Street (Nicholson Street - Center Street) Roadway Improvements Project - 2024, in the amount of $358,405.93, to PT Ferro Construction Co.
