BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Inspector General has been created by the Mayor and City Council. Part of that Ordinance, Section 2-506, outlines the duties of the Inspector General. Specifically, Section 2-506(a)(3) requires the Inspector General to report results of investigation to the Mayor. In order to ensure transparency between the Inspector General and the City, the Inspector General will report results of investigation to the Mayor and City Council.

The Administration recommends the Mayor and the City Council approve the attached Resolution which amends Chapter 2, Article XVI, Section 2-506(a)(3) of the Joliet City Ordinances.
