BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet's 2025 budget allocates funds for contracted restoration services in areas excavated by the Department of Public Utilities for water and sewer system repairs. Specific Contract work activities include repair and restoration of sidewalks, driveway aprons, street pavement, curb and gutter, and parkway turf grass. The Contract also includes a limited quantity of manhole / valve box frame adjustments. The Contract allows for a sixty (60) calendar day project duration for the initial list of work locations and a thirty (30) calendar day duration for subsequent lists throughout the year. Due to the duration requirements, the bid documents were prepared for on-call contractor services.

An advertisement for bids for the 2025 Utilities Restoration Program Contract was published in the Labor Record on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

The Public Service Committee will review this matter.

CONCLUSION:
On Monday, April 14, 2024, at 10:15 a.m., three (3) sealed bids were received for the 2025 Utilities Restoration Program Contract. The bid summary is as follows:
