Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Engineering Services for the Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III Engineering Services for the Joliet Centralized Traffic Management System Improvement Project - MFT Section No. 21-00546-00-TL

BACKGROUND:
The Professional Engineering Services contract for the City’s Centralized Traffic Signal Management (CTMS) is being partially funded by Motor Fuel Tax funds. The project scope is being expanded to accommodate additional design services requested by the City.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Funding for this project will come from Motor Fuel Tax funds. The State of Illinois requires the Mayor and City Council to approve a Funding Resolution. Please find attached a Funding Resolution appropriating an additional $14,999.24 for the Phase I, II, and III Engineering for the City’s Centralized Traffic Management System Improvement Project.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the Supplemental Funding Resolution appropriating Motor Fuel Tax funds.
