BACKGROUND:
The Professional Engineering Services contract for the City’s Centralized Traffic Signal Management System (CTMS) is being funded by Rebuild Illinois bond funds. The project scope is being expanded to include additional Phase C, which will tie additional traffic signals into the system.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Funding for this project will come from Rebuild Illinois bond funds. The State of Illinois requires the Mayor and City Council to approve a Funding Resolution. Attached please find a Funding Resolution appropriating an additional $149,919.73 for the Phase I, II, and III Engineering for the City’s Centralized Traffic Management System Improvement Project.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the Supplemental Funding Resolution appropriating Rebuild Illinois bond funds for Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Engineering Services for the Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III Engineering Services for the Joliet Centralized Traffic Management System Improvement Project - MFT Section No. 21-00546-00-TL.
