Amendment No. 1 for Professional Services for the Small Water Meter Replacement Program to Cultivate Geospatial Solutions, LLC in the amount of $24,000.00

BACKGROUND:
On July 24, 2023, purchase order #23000766 in the amount of $10,000 was issued to Cultivate Geospatial Solutions, LLC (CGS) for technical services associated with the "Small Water Meter Replacement Program - VueWorks Project". The scope of this project generally consisted of providing technical assistance integrating the City's asset management software, VueWorks, with the contractor's field software to avoid manual entry of the data associated with the small water meter replacement program.
As the water meter replacement program has progressed, CGS has been providing technical assistance to manage the data migration from the contractor's software system to the City's software systems, Munis and VueWorks, and has been provide training and as-needed technical support to ensure smooth program implementation. On July 18, 2023, the City Council awarded the small water meter contract extension to the water meter replacement contractor Calumet City Plumbing & Heating Co. Inc., bringing the total water meter replacement count to 10,000 meters to be replaced. City staff contacted CGS to provide a proposal to manage the remaining scope of the water meter replacement program. The Public Service Committee reviewed this memo at the November 6, 2023 meeting and recommended for approval by full Council.
CONCLUSION:
Amendment No. 1, in the amount of $24,000.00, provides funding to complete the additional technical services described above.
Sufficient funds exist utilizing the Water & Sewer Operating Fund / Meter Repair / Professional Services (Org 50080320, Object 523300, $24,000.00).
