Award of Contract for the 2025-2026 Landscape Maintenance Contract to Beary Landscaping Management in the Amount of $273,000.00

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet Budget allocates funds for the City of Joliet Landscape Maintenance Contract each fiscal year. This is a City-wide contract to mow and maintain areas designated by the Department of Public Works.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
On April 23, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., one (1) sealed bid was received for this contract. The bid was divided into three (3) time periods, 2025-2026, 2027, and 2028. The cost to complete the work during each time period was included and is shown below:

The Scope of Services and Bid Prices have been reviewed and are acceptable to the City. Sufficient funds exist for 2025 and 2026 seasons in the Public Works Roadways Contractual Services Fund (Org 09029000, Object 524200, $273,000.00). The City has the option to renew the contract at the submitted prices for the 2027 and the 2028 seasons. Funds for the succeeding years will be allocated in the 2027 and 2028 budgets (2027 - $138,600.00, 2028 - $141,400.00). The City also has the option to not renew the contract at the end of 2026 and 2027.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council award the 2025-2026 Landscape Maintenance Contract in the amount of $273,000.00 on behalf of Beary Landscaping Management.
