Change Order No. 2 for the Plainfield Road (Black - Center) Water Main Improvements Project to Trine Construction Corp in the amount of $14,970.64

BACKGROUND:
On January 17, 2023, the Mayor and City Council awarded a contract for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $4,792,653.07, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp, based on the Unit Prices provided in their bid. Subsequently, Change Order 1 was approved in the amount of $101,470.50. The Public Service Committee reviewed this memo at the November 6, 2023 meeting and recommended for approval by full Council.
CONCLUSION:
Change Order No. 2, a net addition in the amount of $14,970.64, is for the additional work of installing and maintaining additional IDOT detour routing for the closure of Plainfield Road during construction.
Sufficient funds are available for this project in the Water Main Replacement Fund / Construction (Org 53880000, Object 557200, $14,970.64).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve Change Order No. 2 to the contract for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $14,970.64, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp.
