Award of Contract for the 2026 Hickory - Spring Creek Cleaning Project to Gregg W. Dobczyk Excavating in the Amount of $139,900.00

BACKGROUND:
Regular cleaning and maintenance of the Hickory Creek and Spring Creek channels are required each year to ensure proper water flow. This project was advertised on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., two (2) sealed bids were received for the 2026 Hickory - Spring Creek Cleaning Project. The bid summary is as follows:

PT Ferro Construction Co. $196,000.00
Engineer’s Estimate $150,000.00
The low bid by Gregg W. Dobczyk Excavating, in the amount of $139,900.00, is 6.73% below the engineer’s estimate.
Sufficient funds exist utilizing the Engineering General Fund / Contract Services (Org 09027000, Object 524200, $139,900.00).
