SUBJECT:

title

Award of Contract to VideoTec for Access Control and Surveillance at 9 Osgood in the Amount of $72,927.00

end

BACKGROUND:

The City issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the integration of access control and surveillance systems at 9 Osgood (Pace Building), seeking Genetec-certified firms to connect the facility to the city’s existing Genetec security infrastructure.

The project scope includes outfitting standard doors and overhead doors with access control, as well as installing multiple internal and external cameras for comprehensive coverage.

Three qualified vendors responded to the solicitation. After careful review, it was determined that the proposals from the other two vendors were significantly more expensive than Videotec’s submission. Videotec’s proposal not only met all technical requirements but also offered the most cost-effective solution, with a total project cost of $72,927.00.

CONCLUSION:

Based on a thorough evaluation of all submitted proposals, Videotec Corporation has demonstrated both the technical expertise and competitive pricing necessary to deliver the access control and surveillance upgrades.

Awarding the contract to Videotec will ensure that the City receives a high-quality, reliable security system that aligns with operational needs and budgetary constraints. This decision supports the City’s goal of providing a safe and secure environment for staff and MMD operations at the Osgood facility.

Sufficient Funds exist within the Fleet Service budget (Org 09016000, Object 557500, $72,927.00)
