Award of Contract for the Cass Street / Jefferson Street Streetscape Repair Project to PT Ferro Construction Co. in the amount of $87,011.03

BACKGROUND:
The Mayor and City Council previously approved the 2024 City of Joliet Budget. The 2024 Budget includes capital funding for downtown streetscape repair and restoration. The Cass Street / Joliet Street Streetscape Repair Project was advertised on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
On Monday, August 19, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., two (2) sealed bids were received for the Cass Street / Jefferson Street Streetscape Repair Project - 2024. The bid summary is as follows:
The low bid from PT Ferro Construction Co. in the amount of $87,011.03 is 12.17% below the Engineer’s Estimate.
Sufficient funds exist utilizing the Public Works Capital Improvement Fund / Infrastructure (Org 30090270, Object 557200, $87,011.03).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council Award the Contract for the Cass Street/ Jefferson Street Streetscape Repair Project - 2024, in the amount of $87,011.03, on behalf of PT Ferro Construction Co.
