Resolution Approving a Transit Shelter Agreement between the City of Joliet and Pace
(Agreement Regarding a Pace Bus Shelter at St. Joseph’s Medical Center)

BACKGROUND:
Pace has erected a bus shelter at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. This shelter is not on city right of way, it is on private property. Pace is requesting authorization to connect to a city light pole as a power source, if necessary.
Generally, Pace shelters are solar powered, this is no exception. However, in the event that the solar system proves inadequate, Pace would like the option to connect to a city owned light pole. If they wish to connect, they must first contact the city and obtain all necessary permits and approvals. This proposed Agreement authorizes such a procedure.

The Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve this Resolution approving the authorization of a Bus Shelter Agreement between the City of Joliet and Pace.
