Award of Contract for the 2026 MFT Resurfacing Contract B, MFT Section No. 26-00577-00-RS to Austin Tyler Construction Inc. in the Amount of $2,769,186.30

BACKGROUND:
The Mayor and City Council previously approved the 2026 City of Joliet Budget. The 2026 MFT Resurfacing Contract B is included in this budget. The project was advertised on Friday, July 31, 2026.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
On August 17, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., four (4) sealed bids were received for the 2026 MFT Resurfacing Contract B Project. The bid summary is as follows:

Funds will be charged to Motor Fuel Tax / Infrastructure (Org 20090270, Object 557200, $2,769,186.30).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council award the 2026 MFT Resurfacing Contract B, in the amount of $2,769,186.30, on behalf of Austin Tyler Construction Inc.
