Ordinance Amending the 2026 Annual Budget for the Final Payment for the Joliet Multi Modal Transportation Center- 1B Bus Station in the Amount of $383,589.39

BACKGROUND:
The Joliet Multi Modal Transportation Center has been completed, inspected and accepted. The final phase of this project, the 1B Bus Station, was completed by a bonding company after the original contractor on the project defaulted.
This budget adjustment allows for the final payment to be made to close out the JMMRTC - 1B Bus Station. After the payment is processed, PACE will reimburse the City for the full amount of the payment utilizing their RTA Grant Funds.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
As this expenditure was not fully funded in the original 2026 City of Joliet Budget, a Budget Amendment Ordinance, in the amount of $383,589.39, is attached for approval.
The Grants and Special Revenue Fund Org 30020010, Object Code 557300 will be utilized for this amendment. This fund will then be reimbursed upon receipt of funding from PACE.
