Resolution Authorizing a Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of Joliet and D Construction Inc., for Temporary Use of City-Owned Property for IDOT’s Cass Street Bridge Project

BACKGROUND:
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is undertaking a rehabilitation project on the Cass Street bridge. The contractor for the project, D Construction Inc., has requested permission to temporarily stage equipment and materials needed for this project on City-owned property along the east side of the Des Plaines river wall.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
The attached Resolution and supporting agreement present the terms and conditions under which the contractor will be allowed to temporarily use the City-owned property for construction staging.

It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the attached Resolution authorizing a memorandum of understanding between the City of Joliet and D Construction Inc., for temporary use of City-owned property.
