Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for Phase III Construction Engineering for the Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge Improvement Project - MFT Section No. 21-00542-00-BR

BACKGROUND:
The Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge will be removed and replaced due to deteriorated conditions. The City has received Federal grant funding for the project but will be responsible for 20% of the construction engineering costs.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Local funding for Phase III Construction Engineering costs will come from Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds. The State of Illinois requires the Mayor and City Council to approve an MFT Funding Resolution. Attached is a Motor Fuel Tax Resolution (BLR 09110) appropriating $110,956.00 for Construction Engineering Services for the Farrell Road over Spring Creek Improvement Project.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for Phase III Construction Engineering for the Farrell Road over Spring Creek Bridge Improvement Project - MFT Section No. 21-00542-00-BR.
