SUBJECT:

title

Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement Between the City of Joliet and the Joliet Park District

end

BACKGROUND:

The Illinois Intergovernmental Cooperation Act authorizes municipalities to enter into agreements with other public agencies for the performance of governmental services. The City of Joliet and the Joliet Park District have identified a need for enhanced security measures at the District's property, which can be achieved through the installation of cameras.

CONCLUSION:

The purpose of this Agreement is to establish the terms and conditions under which the City is authorized to install, operate, and maintain surveillance cameras and related equipment on property owned or controlled by the District, as mutually agreed upon by the parties. This Agreement also sets forth the City’s obligation to indemnify and hold harmless the District from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of or related to the installation, operation, or maintenance of such equipment.
