BACKGROUND:
On June 3, 2025, the Mayor and City Council awarded a contract for the 2025 Sanitary Sewer Cleaning and Inspection Program, in the amount of $528,650.00, to Pipe View America. Subsequently, Change Order No. 1 was approved for a net increase of $82,779.94.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Change Order No. 2, a net increase in the amount of $91,700.00, is a result of the following:
* An additional 200 hours of on call labor hours to provide cleaning and televising assistance to City sewer crews through the end of 2026.
* Addition of 52 hours of on call labor hours for cleaning and televising work in the former Southeast Joliet Sanitary District (SEJSD) area.
Funds for Change Order No. 2 will be charged to the Water & Sewer Operations Fund / Field Operations / Sewer / Contractual Services (Org 50080020, Object 524200, $73,500.00) and to the PU Grant / Reimbursable Fund / Professional Services (Org 50180170, Object 557200, Project Code 25048, $18,200.00). The charges related to the SEJSD work will be reimbursed to the City by Will County via a Community Development Block Grant.
Included with Change Order No. 2 is Amendment No. 1 with RJN Group Inc., for the not-to-exceed amount of $24,700.00, for additional field inspection and professional engineering services required for the additional work added by Change Orders 1 and 2.
Funds for Amendment No. 1 will be Charged to the Water & Sewer Operations Fund / Field Operations / Sewer / Professional Services (Org 50080020, Object 523300, $24,700.00).
