Award of Contract for the County Line Rd (Van Dyke Rd - Kennedy Dr) Roadway Improvements Project - MFT Section No. 24-00569-00-WR to PT Ferro Construction Co. in the Amount of $895,000.06

BACKGROUND:
The City has developed plans for roadway improvements to County Line Road from Van Dyke Road to Kennedy Drive. The improvements will consist of widening this section of roadway to a four-lane cross section and installing new sidewalk and street lighting.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
On June 2, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., four (4) sealed bids were received for the County Line Rd (Van Dyke Rd - Kennedy Dr) Roadway Improvements Project. The bid summary is as follows:

The low bid by PT Ferro Construction Co. in the amount of $895,000.06, is 40.94% below the engineer’s estimate. Sufficient funds exist utilizing the Rebuild IL Funds (Org 20090270, Object 557200, $895,000.06).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council award the contract for the County Line Road (Van Dyke Rd - Kennedy Dr) Roadway Improvements Project - MFT Section No. 24-00569-00-WR to PT Ferro Construction Co. in the amount of $895,000.06.
