end

BACKGROUND:

On July 1, 2025, the City Council approved a Contract with RJN Group Inc. for the 2026 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program for a not-to-exceed amount of $114,100.00.  Subsequently, Amendment No. 1 was approved for a net increase of $69,900.00 for construction engineering for sewer rehabilitation related to the 2026 Watermain Replacement Program.  The scope of work for the 2026 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program included design engineering for the Krings Acres Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project and the 2026 Watermain Replacement Program related sewer rehabilitation.

The Public Service Committee will review this matter.

CONCLUSION:

Due to budgetary constraints, the Krings Acres Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project was not advertised for bid and construction in 2026.  The project is included in the proposed 2027 budget. RJN Group Inc. has provided a proposal in the not-to-exceed amount of $20,000.00 to complete the design and provide bidding engineering services.

Funds will be charged to the Water & Sewer Improvement Fund / Sewer Collection / Professional Services (Org 50180020, Object 557200, $20,000.00, Project 25040).
