Change Order No. 4 for the Plainfield Road (Black - Center) Water Main Improvement Project to Trine Construction Corp in the amount of $68,471.17

BACKGROUND:
On January 17, 2023, the Mayor and City Council awarded a Contract for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $4,792,653.07, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp, based on the Unit Prices provided in their bid. Subsequently Change Orders No. 1 - 3 were approved for a net increase of $116,441.14. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Change Order No. 4, a net addition in the amount of $68,471.17 is for the following work:
• Additional 8” gate valves and valve boxes
• Additional brick sidewalk removal and replacement
• Additional pavement markings
• Additional restoration of lawns and parkways
• Additional dust control
• Repair of uncharted water main
• Furnishing of reinforcing steel baskets for PCC pavement
Sufficient funds are available for this project in the Water Main Replacement Fund (Org 53880000, Object 557200, $68,471.17).

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve Change Order No. 4 to the contract for the Plainfield Road (Black-Center) Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of $68,471.17, on behalf of Trine Construction Corp.
