Resolution Approving the Dedication of a Portion of Maple Street as Public Right-of-Way
end
BACKGROUND:
The 11-acre site at 300 Maple Street and 212 Page Street (former Berlinsky scrap yard) is currently being developed, and a portion of the site needs to be dedicated as public right-of-way. In December 2022, City Council approved a Special Use Permit (Ordinance #18448) for a trucking facility at this location. The owner began the extensive plan review process in 2023 and the review is nearing completion. The survey of the site shows that the private property line extends into the middle of Maple Street, so staff has requested that the owner formally dedicate that portion of Maple Street right-of-way adjacent to the northwest corner of the property. The City already maintains Maple Street in this area. The dedication will officially adjust the lot lines on the map record. The Public Works Department has reviewed and supports this dedication.
This request was reviewed at the October 22, 2025 Land Use and Economic Development Committee meeting.
