BACKGROUND:
The Tri-County Auto Theft Taskforce is solely funded by a grant from the State of Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Council. Grant expenditures are approved by the Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Council and the Tri-County Auto Theft Taskforce Board. Since Tri-County is not a legal entity, the City of Joliet is the grantee and legal entity for the Taskforce. As such all property held by the taskforce is owned by the City of Joliet.
The Taskforce will be trading in three vehicles for the purchase of three vehicles:
